About

We are excited to be offering enrichment activities for the families of our communities for over 20 years.

On July 17, 1996, the Stevenson community lost five of our own. Michael Scott, Barbara Scott, Joe Scott, Brenda Privette, & Tom Weatherby were tragically killed aboard TWA Flight 800 while in route to Paris for the adventure of a lifetime. The community was heartbroken and wanted to find a way to keep their legacies alive. Mr. Michael Scott had dreamed of a learning center in our rural community that would allow our children and their families the same enrichment opportunities as those in other areas of the world. With the help of many community members and organizations his dream became a reality.

The Michael Scott Learning Center opened in October of 1998 in Mr. Michael Scott’s honor and memory.

The MSLC has continued to grow the past 20 years with the help of many gracious monetary donations from individuals and businesses. Hardworking volunteers have spent countless hours over the years donating their time to help with events.

The Michael Scott Learning Center is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization, and is run solely by the support of our local communities. We are continuously seeking individual and business partnerships to help us both monetarily, and by donating your time and or needed supplies to allow us to continue to expand our programs. All donations are tax deductible and will be greatly appreciated!

The Michael Scott Learning Center has grown from just being a building, to being a family of community members that are excited to see what adventures await us.  We cordially invite you to partner with us this year and become a part of our family and continue the adventure of a lifetime with us!
